MISSION

Salaam Shalom Educational Foundation promotes innovative educational methods and conflict resolution training aimed at nurturing the
minds and souls of Jewish and Arab children living under chronic stress of regional conflict.

STRATEGY

We are building bridges between Jewish and Arab children by sponsoring healing educational methods that address their academic,
physiological, and psychological needs, so that together these children may develop new capacities for problem solving and new potentials for
cooperation.

GOALS

We seek to foster a generation of individuals educated to cultivate new social, cultural, and economic endeavors so that communities of Israelis
and Palestinians may learn to thrive together.

Paths to Peace
Forging New Tools for the Future

We build bridges between Jewish and Arab children while supporting the holistic education of the whole child, the head, hand, and heart. We co-sponsor Jewish – Arab Paired Waldorf Classes which includes the first Arab Waldorf School in Israel and we also co-sponsor the first integrated Jewish Arab Bicultural/Bilingual Waldorf kindergarten

Kindergarten Teacher Training
Israeli and Palestinian Educators Working Together

Through support from Salaam Shalom Education Foundation, Palestinian kindergarten teachers from the West Bank area of Jenin are receiving Waldorf Teacher training at the Harduf Arabic Teacher Training Program in the Galilee. The Waldorf educational method is used in classrooms around the world from London to Nepal and from Los Angeles to Tel-Aviv. These teachers will learn how to create a warm and nurturing classroom and how through stories and other activities they can model respect for all human beings.
